Update from the promoter 11/7/22 - "After the dust settled in Dallas we wanted to make a clarifying statement letting everyone know that Amplified Live did not intentionally over sell the show. There was a clerical error on the venue capacity certificate that didn't include the entire outdoor venue space. When they rebranded the venue they were issued a new certificate with this omission. While that area is clearly venue space, the Dallas Fire Dept had no choice but to shut down the show because of that reason and the venue will be having a new certificate issued ASAP. Again we are sorry for what happened"
November 5, 2022 — After a string of sold out shows, the W.A.S.P. show in Dallas, Texas was shut down Saturday night by the Dallas Fire Department just prior to the the band taking the stage as the almost 2000 seat capacity venue was over sold. According to the Dallas Fire Department the show as over sold by almost 1200 tickets. W.A.S.P. lead singer Blackie Lawless said "the Dallas Police Department advised us to leave the venue immediately because they said they could not guarantee our safety”. He went on to say “promoters didn’t think this band could sell tickets in the U.S. anymore, well it goes to show the absolute dedication of our fan base has here in the U. S.”. No return date has been set for this show, but Blackie said, “we’ll certainly be back, you can bet on that”. All those in attendance will be issued a full and complete refund.
Hours of dreaming of seeing and hearing the Best Universe shakingMusicians Ever. 30 years or more since Blackie sparkled his eyes looked at me and smiled to answer my question...."When Does Your new album come out?" He smiled tucked his chin in the air with confident assurance and said "October!" Then smiled a shy whimsical smile once again, 40 years since the first time and so far that I was blessed with seeing them in concert.Wasp was going to be My son's first concert, and fan since the age of 5. A company of people who believe in what they do. Recently surviving almost bleeding to Death from intestinal trouble; weeks in the hospital and open surgery on September …
Ok I now have conformation that the "Promoter" is the the venue. This was the e-mail I received in response to my question.

I’ll get that in the mail to you. As for someone “legally responsible” feel free to list Amplified as the party.
So if anyone is interested in joining a class action law suit to hold them responsible please shoot me an e-mail at glenncookhie@gmail.com
Clearly venue space? My ass!!!
You can't even see the stage from over there...It's around the side of the building and behind the stairs to the balcony.
Bullshit excuse for a shitty promoter and an unscrupulous venue ..
Been going there for 10 years...
Parking fees? Unreasonable beer prices ? Obviously oversold show?
Is it coincidence this has all happened at the same timeframe?
Absolute incompetence and greed has taken over this venue! The promoter is trash, but the venue has a responsibility to oversee ticket sales at their venue, if for no other reason; the safety of their patrons and the impact on their building and business.....
Gas Monkey Baar and Grill NEVER gave me this horrible experience!
Great…
Total BS, money grab. They WAY over sold the Vegas show, total bs. Doors opened at 7, stood in insane line for hr, we got in as Saint was playing last song, and still LONG line behind us. Total rip, as I bought my tix DAY ONE of sale, so packed had to leave one song in for WASP
Very disappointed to not see one of my favorite bands. When the tour was first announced The Factory in Dallas was named as the venue for the show (larger indoor venue). For some reason it was changed to Amplified Live which is way to small for a band like WASP. I had to choose between watching Armored Saint & MSG or stand in a very long line for merch…I’m glad I chose to watch the two support bands instead and not missing any of there performance.. show was definitely oversold it’s a shame they didn’t play The Factory or any other larger venue in the Dallas area. I hope WASP will come back and use a different promoter and venue.
